Power Listening
Listening is the single most essential part of effective communication and yet we don't
teach it as a core Subject in any of our public schools...
What is Power Listening?
Power Listening is a series of workshops and study materials
created to develop critical skills across the full range of listening competencies, including:
Participative Factors
Gestures
Acknowledgement & Attention
Facial Expressions
Encouragement
Situational Factors
Context
Framing (Spin)
Social/Cultural Sensitivity
Ambiguity & Nuance
Environment Factors
Group Influences
Noise & Distractions
External Stressors
Non-Verbal Factors
Body Language
Facial Expressions
Social/Cultural Cues, Do's & Don'ts
All our Global Power Series workshops are designed to exploit another
valuable resource that we find in every program the wealth and value of
business and adult life experiences of the other participants. Our programs
usually have 20 participants who bring an average of 500 years of real-world
experience. That's over $15 million in collected wisdom within the group to
learn from by applying real examples of how to use our listening programs to avoid
confusion and misunderstandings in all your conversations.
Any program for business should be based on sound business goals and objectives.
You can't manage what you don't measure, so listening programs without measurements
are no more likely to succeed than no listening programs at all.
